The Department of State Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM) has primary responsibility within the U.S. government for formulating policies on population, refugees, and migration.
Funding Information
- Proposals must meet the funding floor and not exceed the funding ceiling, or they will be disqualified.
- Funding floor (lowest $ value): $1,800,000
- Funding ceiling (highest $ value): $2,100,000
Duration
- Programs period of performance of up to 18 months will be considered.
Geographic Regions/Populations
- Proposed activities must primarily support refugees, asylum seekers, and vulnerable migrants in Cross River and Benue, Nigeria. Because of PRM’s mandate, PRM will only consider funding programs that include a target program participant base of at least 50 percent refugees, asylum seekers, and vulnerable migrants.
Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible Applicants
- Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education (U.S.-based NGOs must be able to demonstrate proof of nonprofit tax status).
- Nonprofits without 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education (overseas-based NGOs must be able to demonstrate proof of registration in country of domicile);
- and
- International Organizations.
- PRM strongly encourages programs that target the needs of vulnerable and underserved groups among the program participant population (such groups may include women; children; adolescents; lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or intersex (LGBTQI+) individuals; older persons; the sick; persons with disabilities; and members of minority communities) and can demonstrate what steps have been taken to meet the specific and unique protection and assistance needs of these vulnerable groups effectively.
