The Merian Institute for Advanced Studies in Africa (MIASA) seeks to provide Africa-based early career researchers working on the themes of peace, democracy and climate change on the continent with the space and intellectual community to transform a draft paper into a publishable journal piece.
Funding: Successful applicants will be provided with funding to cover travel expenses to Ghana from Sub-Saharan Africa along with accommodation and subsistence costs for the duration of the workshop. If the ongoing pandemic will make an in-person workshop impossible, the writing retreat will be organised virtually instead.

MIASA cherche à fournir aux chercheurs africains en début de carrière travaillant sur les thèmes de la paix, de la démocratie et du changement climatique sur le continent l’espace et la communauté intellectuelle nécessaires pour transformer un projet d’article en un article de journal publiable.
Financement : Les candidats retenus recevront un financement pour couvrir les frais de voyage au Ghana depuis l’Afrique subsaharienne ainsi que les frais d’hébergement et de subsistance pour la durée de l’atelier. Si la pandémie en cours rend impossible un atelier en personne, la retraite d’écriture sera organisée virtuellement à la place.
