<font style=”vertical-align: inherit;”><font style=”vertical-align: inherit;”>En effet, la santé sexuelle et reproductive est également un droit dont les femmes et filles handicapées ne jouissent pas dans la zone de santé de BENI, OÏCHA, MABALAKO, KALUNGUTA et VUHOVI sur la base de l’égalité avec les autres. </font><font style=”vertical-align: inherit;”>Les femmes et les filles sourdes-muettes sont totalement exclues et n’ont pas accès aux informations relatives à la santé sexuelle et reproductive en raison du manque d’interprètes en langue des signes dans les 3 zones de santé. </font><font style=”vertical-align: inherit;”>Cependant, les mères célibataires sourdes-muettes sont nombreuses dans la zone de santé de BENI, OÏCHA, MABALAKO, MUTWANGA, KALUNGUTA et VUHOVI.</font></font>

This proves enough that they are also sexually abused in the area. Deaf-mute women and girls in the three health zones, due to their marginalization, do not have the right information on reproductive sexual health (menstruation). Some of them also have no knowledge of voluntary contraceptive methods and have difficulty knowing how to calculate their menstrual cycle…

This situation exposes them to unwanted pregnancies, contamination by HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases. To this end, there is a need to promote the sexual and reproductive health of deaf-mute women and girls in the health zone of BENI, OÏCHA, MABALAKO, KALUNGUTA, MUTWANGA and VUHOVI Province of North Kivu, east of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
